The Shipyard Marina is part of a
beautiful residential development on the
Hudson River built by the Applied Companies. This marina has allowed recreational
sailing to return to Hoboken.
The Shipyard Marina is located in north Hoboken on 14th Street and the Hudson River. We keep 2 blue boats in Hoboken.
Hoboken has a
great sailing history. Many of the top sailors in the 1800s
lived in Hoboken and many famous racing boats were built along the waterfront.
The gates at the marina are kept
locked so meet your instructor at the Marina Office which is half way down
the pier.

By Foot or Bike:
From
wherever you are in Hoboken, travel to 14th Street and then to the Hudson River.
Coming from
Manhattan:
There are 4 main ways to get to the
Shipyard Marina in Hoboken:
1) By PATH train or Ferry from World
Financial Center - When you arrive in Hoboken, go to the taxi stand in front of
the train station. It is a simple 5 minute ride to the Shipyard Marina.
Tell the driver "14th Street and the Hudson River." The PATH runs
frequently www.panynj.gov/path/index.html
2) By ferry from West 38 St to North
Hoboken. This drops you off on the same pier as the marina. Check
the ferry website first to see if there have been any scheduling changes.
(Ferries may not operate on weekends early enough to get to class at 9 a.m.)

3) By
car - Exit Lincoln Tunnel and bear right for Hoboken exit immediately after
tunnel. Continue until 14th street and go left to Hudson river.
4) Bus
- So far, the most convenient option found is Academy Bus
which runs every 1/2 hour from Gate 230 at Port
Authority. It's $2 each
way and only takes 10 minutes. The bus stops right on the corner of
Washington and 14th Street and it's an easy 3 block walk to the Marina.
But be sure to check the bus
website for schedule changes.
