Weekend Schedule
Weekends are popular for Basic Sailing. This is an intensive course and you'll learn to sail in one weekend. You start with a classroom session then sail for the remainder of the time with breaks for lunch and as necessary. This is similar to learning a foreign language through immersion.
North Cove registrants get
their classroom instruction at the
North Cove in Manhattan.
Students enrolled in Hoboken and
Jersey City classes will get their classroom instruction on the boats Saturday
morning. There is no classroom instruction on Friday night but do not

Weekday Evening Schedule
Weekday evening courses are one evening per week for five consecutive weeks for a total of 15 hours. Classes run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. Weekday evening classes are offered on Mondays or Thursdays.
- Week 1, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. - Classroom Instruction
- Week 2, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - On-Water Instruction
- Week 3, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - On-Water Instruction
- Week 4, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - On-Water Instruction
- Week 5, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - On-Water Instruction & Certification Test
- (Week 6 - make up if needed for any students)
