Day 1 - Mustique (Basil's Blues Festival)
Several of the boats headed north to Mustique. The wind had abated which left 20 knots, a calm see and perfect conditions for sailing upwind. Those who were craving a frozen drink were amply rewarded at world famous Basils Beach Bar.
But what made this stop show incredible, besides the luxury shopping available the next morning, was the Blues Festival. Four acts performed that evening. But they were not just anyone. They were all great performers. And 4 boat crews from our flotilla were at the bar which meant that the dance floor was crowded by late evening. Next trip, all boats need to get to Basil's together for what will certainly be one of the great all time nights of de Regatta.
