Day 3 - Chatham Bay (Shark Attack Dinner)

The Skippers' Meeting on the morning of Day 3 showed that all skippers were of one mind - "Let's get out of the wind!"  It had been blowing for 30 knots for 2 days and the wind would stay up again for a final evening.  We studied the chart carefully and everyone nodded in approval when we selected Chatham Bay.  There had not been a lot of sailing to this point which seemed like the safest thing to do.  So off we all motored or sailed to the protection of Chatham Bay.

Along the way, we heard from Thierry's boat which had been at Chatham bay the night before.  "Too windy here," he said.  "You ain't see out there yet," came the reply.  Compared to anywhere else, Chatham Bay was brilliant.

Margo called our friends at Shark Attack for a lobster dinner on the beach for 50.  Bring your drinks, plates and silverware were the instructions.  Jim's boat hosted the first boat cocktail party before sunset.  After dark, we all motored to the beach which was lit by one single camping light.  A real experience and the food was delicious.  The Caribbean regatta was beginning to gel.
